Hey!

Righto, i had some new tyres put on my Mini yesterday, when i drove the car away i noticed that the boot/hood open indicator on the speedo was on. I stopped, ran round the car, opened everything and shut it all aagin, but its still on.

Thought it might solve itself after a good nights sleep, but nah its still on.

Any ideas?

The car detects the boot as being open when the latch isn't on it's second click. You can try moving the latch to it's second click with the boot open. It could be that something is stopping the boot closing completely so the light stays on.

the boot appears to be shut fully, as to with the hood. The cars booked in for an oil service on monday. Maybe they can have a quick look at that too.
