United-Kingdom Alloy wheels and insurance!

Just needed some advice, got a new MINI One (55 reg) and spec'd 16" alloys instead of the standard 15" one's, does my insurance company need to know this?

They are original MINI 16" Shark Fin Alloy's and not aftermarket ones.

Many thanks in advance

Doesn't really make much difference-If you spec Salt, Pepper, Chilli Pack then you should let them know

My insurance on my new cooper, with chilli pack was about 40 quid more than the std no pack cooper. So the wheels might cost you 10 quid or so more but not much. Worth telling them to save the hassle.

Yes they need to know. I have just got a Cooper (55) and told direct line who noted it down on my policy as I specced the S spokes instead of the std chili pack wheels. They also noted that it had air con and factory tinted glass. All this didn't effect the price I paid though. It is always best to be clear with then.

No you don`t have to tell them as they are on the order spec sheet

yes you do.. as they will only replace them with the 15's if you claim... 15's are the standard wheels for your car unless you tell them otherwise

EMPTY SPACE NEEDS FILLING....
but it has to be something that wont get me banned
