Hello All,

Thought I would asked this question, I had a performance exhaust fitted to my S last April and it significantly increased my premium and hence monthly payments, I'am with RAC Insurance. I have now had the performance exhaust taken off and the Standard exhaust refitted. If I informed the insurers that the car is back to standard would they amend the policy back to what it was and reduce the monthly replayments? Thought I would ask in case someone has done the same. Will call them tomorrow but was interested to know if anyone here has done the same.

They should give a pro-rata refund for removing the mod as the risk has decreased. But with insurance companies don't bank on it.

cheers for that, it's gotta be worth a try, it went up by 30 quid a month just for an exhaust so if I can save that I can go on holiday lol
