got a quote today from Direct Line for my MINI ONE (salt) with no MODS and i got £938.10

Thats an 18year old with 1yr NCB. (Im 18 in june and this quote is to start on my birthday)

Im very happy as hardly anybody will offer me quotes below £1500
Last year direct line gave me insurance at around £1650 on a provisional however it didnt change when i passed.
Its still alot of money at 18 but am very chuffed

Other things ive found out is i can insure a Cooper or get a quote for my ONE over the phone, its only online

Wierd but hey im not gunna complain

Out of curiosity did you try mini insurance themselves?

The only reason i say is they were the only one's offering me sensible quotes on a cooper when i was 20.

they gave a higher quote on the ONE but didnt think of trying s cooper, ill have a go tomorrow some time and post the results
