Greenlight wouldn't insure me - they'd only insure me up to £15k, when my car would be worth about £20k. UKC4: How old are you and how did you manage that?? I used to be with Direct Line, but when I added my mods they said they couldnt insure me as I'm under 25. As the Aero kit and JCW seats are now factory-fit "official" options, would they technically be classed as modifications or could I get away with not declaring them? ![]()

Well, i know my mods arent much, (churchill would even touch it) but MINI are fine with my wheels, spolier, decals, and spots (if i put them on) no extra charge. They told me they were fine with mods, as long as you tell them you got them. MINI were way out for me last year, but this year it was fine

If you dont declare them, surely you could face hitting alsorts of problems if anything were to happen, remember insurance companies will probably try anything to get out of paying out I never did declare the wheels, decals, spots etc on my other ONE, if i had of done my car would not have been covered (was with Churchill), was a bit risky doing that really looking back, am much happier now EVERYTHING on the newbie is covered and dealt with
