great idea, but the article on bbc news states

Quote:
More Than says the policy could save the average young motorist about £300 a year.

this allows only 12 trips (after curfew) before the saving is wiped out. i am not over confident it will be a success, but it is certainly a move in the right direction.

In Massachusetts for the first six months newly licensed drivers can not drive between Midnight and five, or six AM (I'm not sure).

I got my license just after this law was passed and I was the only one who followed it. The police didn't even enforce it.

The Mass. law also prevents new drivers from having passengers under the age of 18 unless they are immediate family. I really don't think they have done anything.

I think it's a good idea. Although it could be supplemented with an I.Q. test...the reasons accidents happen is stupidity! I'm going to set up a polyphrenocracy (a place ruled by very clever people!!)

a polyphrenocracy will never work--they'll all go mad with power!
