Offline | NRMA quoted me about $830 for comprehensive insurance for a Cooper S valued at $47,000. That includes a number of discounts for having membership and mulitple policies with them, and a reasonably good no claim bonus. The price is much the same as for our Honda CR-V. Offline | I've got a quote from AAMI for $748, Rating 1 for life, low risk suburb, 50 years old, no claims for the last twenty years - on a $45,000 Cooper 'S'. A quote from BMW was $962 !!!!. I am sure that one of our QLD colleagues posted that he had a quote in the $600s from BMW. Could they confirm this please? BMW use Allianz? as their insurer. I'm going to go with BMW as we are able to get into some really good panel beaters and get treated like a BMW owner. Access to parts may be more favourable as well. Regards, ElTel |

| MINI2 Regular | 23 and rating 1 BMW $1700 agreed value of $54000 with rating protection. RACV $1200, value not specified. I think the extra $500 will save me any hassels if I ever have to claim. Plus, I dont think RACV would be happy with a JCW kit when they make it here. ![]() |

Offline | For my Cooper I pay $1200 through Zurich (27, rating one, quite a few claims... Decent suburb), nice thing is they do monthly payments, come straight out of my account, its like free insurance, never even notice it. Car valued at $40000 or something.. BMW quoted $1300, was the same for the Cooper S. |
