Scotland car finance

ok heres the deal i went for the bmw select and got refused, my own fault, so back up plan get dad to take agreement in his name he is car owner but i am registered keeper.
dada agrees to this and goes into dealership and they say this is not possible, they say as i have applied then my dad cant even though he lives at different address and has done since i moved out 5 years ago.
they say " its some sort of buying on law".. but my dad can get an agreement through black horse but has to put down 1500 quid and payments per month are an extra 20.00 more than bmw....
my thoughts are this they are on commision and are trying to rail road my dad into that other agreement.. any thoughts anyone out there been through this

Yeah try another dealer. Even if you are buying cherished the new dealer may be able to get the car you want from your current dealer.

Hi, sorry to hear this. See what response you get from another dealer or if you would like me to provide you a comparative quote, even if it assists you in getting a better deal, then PM me.

Good luck!

Regards,

Supersonic

thinking of getting my dad to take a loan for full wack , 14750 over 5 years , no protection best deal 283.00 , after five years should still be available to sell priv for at least 4 grand so will be better off than select option , anyone else got a better idea how to finance this ??? open to sensible suggestions( have visions of , rob a bank, win lottery)

The APR is the critical figure in all of this, i think on select its as high as 12%. The benefit with a vehicle leasing scheme is that its secured on the car itself and the payments are lower than a standard loan because of the availability of the 'balloon'. Not sure how critical this is to you.

If you want me to have a look at the BMW quote details received, let me know the details and i'll see what can be done.

Hope the above helps a little bit...
