United-States Oops, I have made a couple of late payments...any luck with BMW financing?

Hi there,

I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S that I bought new back in July of '05. Due to certain circumstances I have been 30 days late with my payments to BMW twice now. Other than that I have been on time every other month. My credit report reflects these lates.

Has anyone faced this same problem, and if so, is there anyone in the finance department who will fix this? I am considering sending them a goodwill letter to see if they will remove these lates off my record.

Any thoughts?

I do now know the situation in the USA, I know in the UK companies CAN and sometimes WILL remove these from your file, but you'd have to have a very good reason and write a very nice letter.

Hopefully someone with local knowledge will be here to help soon.

Good luck, welcome to MINI2.

Thanks for the response! I will definitely try the goodwill letter after I have paid them on time for a few more consecutive months. Anyone else have experience with this???

Perhaps you could pay them early a couple of months?
