i know this may seem a bit personal so i apologise to any one who takes offence but...

to those of you who did take their car on finance:

How much are your monthly repayments and over what period of time are they?

just weighing up my best options, thats all!!

no point asking anyone what their payments are as it all depends on too many factors

Such as the deposit put down
The choice of finance package, full or PCP finanace?
The spec of car if a PCP package was chosen, as this will change the GFV of the package
The total price of the car
The APR you agree

Far too many vairables, and you are not saying what you are hoping to achieve with this thread, are you trying to see if you can improve your deal?

You'd be far better offer telling us what you have been offered, on what spec of car, with the deposit amount, the GFV if its a PCP, the APR etc.... Then others could tell you how it compares to their deal

i dont really know much about finance/loans etc so maybe you could help?

im looking to take out a loan of a bout £10K to purchase a MINI, probably repaid over about 5 years (although i hope to have it paid off much before that time).

i also have the sale cost of my current car, hopefully around the £3.5k mark.

i think a 'Loan' rather than finance would be the best option for me as it gives me the choice of buying a cherished mini privately.

where is the best place to get said loan and how much would my repayments be?

i really am clueless when it comes to this you see lol, im finally stepping out into the big wide world at last!
