Offline | Be careful going down that route, it's technically 'fronting' and a lot of insurers are clamping down on it, especially in light of the new Fraud Act 2006 which has now come into force That price from Adrian Flux looks fantastic by the way! ![]() Insurance is the only thing putting me off a Works S or GP at the mo Hope you get something sorted. |

Offline | That Adrian Flux quote is very good, when I was your age it was costing me £800 (Eaglestar) to drive a 7 year old Nova SR! I know, before you say it, I can't believe I just admitted it either. I moved to Adrian Flux when i swapped the Nova in for a Cio RSI and the quote was much less, around £600 at age 21. Hang on in there though, I am 32 now, I pick my R56 MCS up on Thursday, Fully Comp £100 excess, courtesy car, breakdown etc £285 all in. All good things come to those who wait, if £930 stretching it abit build up your NCD on a Cooper and get the R56 GP in a few years time (if they make one, which they better had do). ; ) |

Offline | Thats all very well asides from 2 problems. Austin A 30 had crossply tyres that were tall and skinny Coupled with Rear Wheel Drive MINI has Fat Low Profile tyres and Radials & Front Wheel Drive I could drift an old Chevette at 30 on a roundabout. Could not possible do that in a MINI unless it was sheet ice or someone had been playing the "lets pour a can of diesel on the roundabout and watch what happens" game. Seriously though a 21 year old with a 200bhp+ car costing £20K to replace is not going to find it easy. Just look at the risk involved and £4K probably seems like quite a good deal - it certainly woul dhave been when I was 21!!! |
