Insurance for Mini GP Works...

I am able to get me hands (possibly) lol on a GP.

Thing is I need to find a good insurance company for a cheap quote.

I have tried ecarinsurance (who were amazing for my cooper) but they would'nt quote me

has any one got any recommendations please?

Thanks

I think you maybe right about the age, as a few insurance companys have said this

"We are unable to quote this group vehicle for your age if the value is over
£15,000"

I am with Direct line at circa £400, Adrian Flux and Mini were approx £50 more expensive.
Details
Age 50, Full no claims, also have another direct line policy in the family, no voluntary excess, no hire care required, no points (yet) no convictions

All done on line and I was surprised

21 and a GP = Loads of money if you can find any one to take on the risk

The advantage of Direct line is that named drivers get their own no claims bonus. The dissadvantage is that if you are in charge of the vehicle and any claim is made then you loose it. This happened to son number 2 who had sons number 1 car when some toe rag did the door skin in to break into his Corsa and steel basically nothing. Also your dads no claims is at risk.

Good luck - I think you will need it, either that or a good bank roll

At 21 Mull3t you are always gonna struggle, save your money get a cooper and have some fun!

I always remember what the great driver James Hunt said and that was he had more fun in an Austin A30 at 100% drifting around roundabouts at 30mph than in any other car!

Better to be able to drive the wheels off a slower car than never get close with something faster. Much more of a challenge and therefore so much more satisfying when you eat a faster car!

I have got a cooper and I love it to bits, i think ill always have a mini for the rest of my life.

It just so happen that a dealer I went to had a GP, and I was interested how much it would be for the car & Insurance.

Like every one has said, 21, expensive car, more powerful is gonna be a big risk and I dont think anyone will take me on with a GP.

The dealer also offered me a 'S' if I wasnt able to get a good insurance on the GP.
