Just getting online quotes for my MCS... When choosing make/model, all online companies just list "Cooper S, 1598cc, 06-on". There's no online options for choosing CHILI pack, mods, etc. My question is... do people just insure for the base Cooper S, or do you phone up after and tell them you have the CHILI pack, and all the other options added (and I mean ALL options)? Most of these definitely improve value, and so in theory should be declared fully. Will insurers pay total value for all included (standard/factory-fit) options, or just the base Cooper S price when considering "market value" in event of a claim?

Thoughts/experience please. Thanks.

Tell them everything or i could cost you bigtime.Insurance companies want to pay you the min they can ,& if they can get out paying they will

Yes, thought so. It's just a pain when you can't choose (at least) the CHILI pack online to get accurate quote comparisons!

...Anyway, just called insurance company and the adding of (mainly) CHILI pack increased premium by only 15%. A few other options (non-performance/appeal to thieves/£NCO's) didn't affect quote.

Sorted.

I the process of getting quotes for my MCS 04 ( del 01/04/07 ).

460 fully comp, 6pts, 4yrNCB, Age 41/gf41, location Blackburn. Is this good? Seems so.
