I'm 21 and need to get my hands on an MCS asap! the finance shouldn't be a problem but my insurance quotes are unaffordable! 21 driving for 4 years no ncb no claims 3 points garage good address I noticed some of you with similar criteria to me were getting quotes close to £1000. The best i've had is £2,500!!!! Any ideas? any help much appreciated - I need my MCS so I can start getting some proper sleep. PS. Adrian Flux was £4000!!! |

Offline | I've been having problems with a R56 MCS too and I'm 32, with 8 years NCB! I found Direct Line to be the cheapest at £525, but the excess is a rather scary £650. My Classic Mini is insured with HIC. I think they specialise in insuring boy racers ![]() https://www.hertsinsurance.com |

Offline | I've just noticed Adrian Flux are quoting you £4000 - they only quoted me £850, they wouldn't touch my girlfriend though (4 points). I would say your high quotes are a combination of no NCB, a speeding fine and probobally an address that isn't as low risk as you thought. Insurers seem to be starting to take points for speeding more seriously lately, I don't know why. |
