Write off, and the hire car

Quick question as I can't be bothered to read the small print of my docs, or dare to phone the insurance company in case the want the wonder Micra back....

...my car has been written off, so where do I stand with the courtesy car hired to me by MINI Cover?

At the moment, I have only been informed by the engineers dept, and have yet to receive the offical letter from the insuance company, that I will then have to reply to, agreeing their settlement cost. At this point will I have to return the car, and what do I do in the meantime while I wait for the new one to arrive (been quoted early June for Cooper D delivery at the mo)

Cheers guys

I thought with MINI cover you got a hire car for 7 days, and anything over that you claim from the other party or your expenses cover (I think).

There aint no party like my nana's tea party

Sorry to hear about the write-off. I think it comes down to who is at fault. If it was a non-fault accident in your favour then you should be able to claim for longer. If you have legal cover with your insurance I would definately get in touch with them.

If unfortunately it was your fault then it is policy specific with most companies offering a courtesy car for 2 weeks in the case of a write off, but it could be anywhere between a week and a month.
