MINIs free 7 day cover question?!

I've just taken out MINI cover for 7, their free 7 day insurance cover so as not to get held up by a cover note. Does anyone know if this insurance is fully comp or is it third party?

Thanks

I rung them yesterday for my 7 days free, wouldn't insure me as I'm under 21

Didn't make me laugh like VW did for my girlfriend though. She was buying a Polo 1.2 S, they wanted 7.5k for a 12 month policy... we just took the 7 days

As MartinL said, but...

It has a mandatory £500 excess, so drive and park very carefully.

I had the same problem with the MINI insurance.

I was under 21 (due to be 21 in a few days) - When I asked if I could wait and then get it, I was still denied because I needed 2 years no-claims.

The person on the phone was very nice though, wished me happy birthday and apologized for not being able to help. They use the same underwriters as Egg insurance I believe, who have the same rules.

I'm now over 21, have the no-claims AND my insurance is up for review so I may look into them.

MCS's like to cost young drivers a lot of money (understandably so though).

Not necessarily - Im paying roughly £900 for my new one (was paying (£800 for old MCS, additional charge of £70 for 9 months). Last year I paid £400 on my MCS, slight ****-up at admiral tho
