Most insurance companies wouldn't insure you on a cooper s until your 21.

Unless you have money to burn, it really is not worth it. You'll end up killing yourself.

im sure i could live with that, but what i don't get with my insurer is that they have told me that if i add none performance enhancing extras such as alloys etc. my premium wouldnt go up and they didn't include my alloys and spoiler on my insurance cover sheet so i presume that i would just have to put the value of my car up to cover the alloys etc.?

My sentiments exactly, dude get a ONE, theres nout wrong with em.

I honestly do not believe that ANY insurance company would look at a 17 year old still with a Provisional on a 160bhp+ Turbocharged car.

I live in a village in the middle of no where, been driving for well close to a year, no claims or points and they companies wont even touch me on a Cooper, never mind an S

Actually, you're right, I really should read posts shouldn't I

You have a Mini One, with bits of a Cooper S bolted to it.

I nearly got an S but insurance was around £3k (19 with 1 years NCB).

I settled for a newer Cooper in the end and my premium is £1,100

I'll get an S at some point though!

Declared my Aero Kit and Aero Spoiler, no increase in premuim which was nice (I was 19 at the time, now jsut turned 20.

Best just to ring and find out mate, but I wouldnt have thought it would be much. It doesnt make the car do anything different, just makes it more desireable I quess.

James.

Hi just about to finish a year with quinn direct & yes they beat my quote last year but when it comes to renwal beware of them as to renew they add a £50 service charge just to renew with them so the renewal looked good but add that on & its not so great

Also there call centres are only open mon-sat NOT SUN & they take forever to answer!!!

You will be fine for know but in a year time you will more than likely move

Just thought you might find that interesting

Happy hunting

P.s They didnt mention or include service charge when renewed so whys its added on the paper work i dont know!!!
Also the Windsreen cover sounded good so have taken that up also

I just renewed yesterday lunch time & got the documents this morning

So lets just say thats another year they have got my buisness
