Right slight problem with the insurance, they wont cover me for theft until I send them proof that there's a Thachams approved device fitted (slight hard when its fitted that the factory), I've asked the dealer and got a "never had that problem before" and he's going to see if he can sort something next week.

Anyone else had this problem ?

Suggest to your insurers that they have a look at the Association of British Insurers own website. Insurance Group Search

This shows that the R56 MCS is rated T1 for security. According to the website,
T1 = An alarm/immobiliser combination that has been judged to comply to the Thatcham criteria.

Think I can see why I'm having problems, MSC is listed T1 but I put down MCS Chili which is also listed on the Association of British Insurers website but it doesnt list anything for security !

Then I just tried mini own insurance online, selecting MCS goes through ok but when picking MCS Chili it asks for immobiliser type and proof
