| MINI2 Regular | Adrian Flux - adjustment to insurance & change of address Hi, I have just relocated back to my hometown of Warrington from London. I had a Stockwell post code in London so probably one fo the highest in the UK. When I was looking to take out my policy I ran queries on my Warrington post code and one on the London post code and there was around £200-£300 difference. I rang Adrian Flux and changed the address today and they said that it has made no difference - bull crap!!!! Does anyone else have any experience of changin address during the policy and if they have refunded any money? Any info would be much obliged - I am just about to email them with a complaint as I didn't get very far on the phone! Thanks |

| Formerly HUMPH | Sorry no good news here. I have been in this situation before, and the one where I have bought a car in a lower insurance group and have been met with the same attitude. In fact my previous insurance company tried to charge me an additional premium!!!! If you move to a riskier area then they will be the first to demand money, but are unlikely to refund any. You could cancel, pay the compulsary fee, and move to another policy. But you will lose your NCB for the part year. Are you sure the new postcode is "better" than your last? I remember a link being posted on here to the offical insurance company ratings for postcodes. Will see if I can find the link. ![]() |

| Formerly HUMPH | Found the link it's in the first post of the thread below. http://www.mini2.com/forum/finance-i...postcodes.html Apologies though I thought it was an offical rating but it's not. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Thanks Humph for the info, yeah the postcodes made a huge difference when I was first making the enquiries. I was thinking about cancelling the policy but I am pretty certain that I won't ge tany refund as I paid the full amount up front so I will be no better off! My no claims are not a worry as I have 7 years but they class it as maximum now, I believe they put it down as 5+ years? |
