Offline | I own a 51 reg Mini ONE. I'm an 19yr old lad, with 1 years NCB... Just got quoted £1100 fully comp with Adrian Flux which i think is quite good, but then he gave me a quote of £970 for a Cooper S!!!! which i thought was bloody amazing, he checked it twice and its right... Has any one else experienced this? and also are they good quotes for my age, if there is even any 19yr old on here with a cooper s... |

Offline | Thats bonkers, i'm 35 with a mcs 210 jcw and adrian flux quoted £1500!! yeah right. Might be something to do with being in N.Ireland but I think they pull figures out of the air going by the range of quotes i've seen on this site. I'm with greenlight and got mine for a third of this so I get the impression Adrian Flux is a bit of a lucky dip. |

Offline | He checked that quote twice and it came up the same low price, he said it might be because even though its in a higher group more young people drive the mini one and hence more of the mini ones crash! cooper s's r usually driven by older people. Tbh at the mo i can't really afford a cooper s anyway so the quote is useless to me, but hopefully in about a year or so i'll defo be buying one |

| Perfectionist Cooper S | I am a 23 & have a r53 cooper S & found that Adrian flux was one of the dearer ones so there certainly something there for you age & small low claims - i have 2 years no claims & paying just under £800 fully comp Have you tried putting another familes or friends deatils & see if you get the same price I would get saving fast & get your S When i was 19 i was paying 900+ for a Ka so something is wrong somewhere - i would get on to them to double check as sometimes when you phone these companies it sometimes cheaper or dearer I would be carfeull as i found two other comapnies that i thought were cheaper & then when you go to buy they work out dearer. Also sometimes the cheaper they are the higher Excess you have to pay so doesnt work out cheaper if the worst happens I think it helps that the cooper S has such a high encap safety rating & also there is so many minis around that they got to make it cheaper - i also found companies that just do mini insurance. As said mines dear but i have one of the lowest excesses for our age bracket I know which of the two minis i would want!! |

Offline | Be very careful! I knew it was too good to be true when MINI Insurance quoted me £600 for my R56 Cooper S with 2 NCB. It turned out they'd made a mistake by putting down a Cooper instead! I'm currently insured now for £1100 with Direct Line. Not bad when most wanted £1500+! |

| Perfectionist Cooper S | Yeh i had exatcly the same to - i thought i was laughing until i phoned & they had done the same thing. Surely they should do something about that as its there mess up I am gald that i have only 2 years till i am 25 & then hope it will come down to a more sensiable price thats not nearlly worth a year salary!! The ilusion that it comes down @ 21 didnt work for me Oh am i glad that i haven't got to pay that much anymore |

Offline | Suprised by several comments on this thread, but A Flux are the best in my opinion, im 22 with 4yr ncb paying £540 fully comp on an 06 MCS. 2 things to perhaps bear in mind, double check its Fully comp as A Flux told me they wont insure under 21's fully comp, if they do, id check how much excess youre liable for, as that might have increased significantly. But yea, im not sure what the BMC is, but instead of paying £20 to join it, just simply mention youre a member of mini2.com and they give you 10% off. |
