Red Cooper Insurance on cooper s for 19 year old

hi, i have just recently bought a cooper s, i was insured on it through Adrian Flux, however it was still about £1900 per year this was on my own policy.
There must be a cheaper way to insure my car i am open to any suggestions please help! which is the best company to use?

you can put your insurance under your parents name and make you a named driver but
1. you will not be able to build up a no-claims bonus (you might be able to but only with adrian flux)
2. if your insurance finds out you drive your car more than your parents it will make your insurance void

Have to agree with Eggman here. What Scotts suggesting is called fronting, it's fraudulent and illigal.

I got an insurance quote for a 2008 cooper S just after i got my cooper.......i could insure one fully comp for under 900 quid and i have just turned 20 years old!

A gen 2 cooper s is cheaper to insure than gen 1 cooper s....

Have you shopped around

Bell seem to like young drivers with fast cars, only down side I can see is that I believe in the event of an accident they don't necessarily replace parts like for like (I could be wrong about this)

To be far that type of car at your age is going to be expensive, and generallly insurance cost have been going up in recent years.

I think you need to equate the value of the car to the premium you pay, insurance companies don't tend take this into account. They will charge you just as much for a 6 year old MCS as a new one in my experience.

My son aged 30 is a named driver-cost £58-but he lives in The US so it's not abused !!

add somebody else to the policy who has alot more driving experience this shares the risk and lowers the premium in most cases
