remember - Adrian Flux is a broker, not an insurer.

Brokers are meant to work for you, not the insurer. This means they should find you the cheapest/best cover each year. In reality, brokers just forward you the renewal notice and sit back for their commission payment from the insurer.

If you use a broker - ALWAYS, challenge them at renewal to provide a range of quotes. Don't just accept the renewal - and don't just ditch them to go elsewhere either. It's amazing what a broker can come up with when he stands to lose the business.

edit: and another thing...

Got your insurance direct, via the web or by phone? Then at renewal, repeat the process and don't be surprised if the price is 30% or more less than your renewal.

We've gone via Adrian Flux this year.

Last year we were with Bell however this years renewal came back as £2500 with a £500 excess on a 10 month policy (£1100 more than we paid Bell for last years insurance), and no matter what we said they wouldn't move on the price.

So quoted through Adrian Flux, the first price they come back with was £950 on a 12 month policy however the excess was £1500. Asked them to try again and they came back with £1150 with a more sensible £400 excess.

£1150 for 12 months with Windscreen, legal, replacement car and DOC cover included. All factory fit options declared putting the value of the car at £24k. To be honest Bell can forget it.

Only you will know if its cheap or not, as only you will know your personal circumstances, driving history etc.

Get some quotes from other insurance providers to determine if its cheap or not.
