United-Kingdom Insusrance companies that know about JCW "addons"

I have an 09 MCS with a JCW Aero kit fitted and JCW 18" alloys, i am the 2nd owner.
When it comes to insurance are these "dealer fitted" items declared as mods?

Is there any insurance companies that recognise these as normal manufacturer/main dealer items and not strictly as mods?

I have had a fantastic quote from AXA and there stance on options/mods is so/so. They state that anything manufacturer fitted or by a manufacturer approved garage is OK....so the JCW stuff i have is ok but on phoning them to check this they say they wont cover the Aero kit!

I've yet to try the more recognised mod friendly places like Adrian Flux, Greenlight, Chris Knott, Aplan...
Other than AXA my best quote is with RAC with Aero and wheels listed as mods, this is £580, AXA quote is mid £300's.

These are OEM parts that have no impact on the performance of the car. Most insurance companies would not have an issue with this.

I'd move on to a sensible provider if they say they wont cover the OEM aero kit. If it was a Zeemax or Orciari kit then i could understand.

Most companies dont have an issue with them, they treat them as mods though or they seem to do when i ask the question as they arent fitted at the factory.
Best quote up to now is with Greenlight for £547, £250 excess, mods replaced like for like....happy enough with that really.
They beat Adrian Flux (£800+) and Chris Knott (£600+), not tried Aplan as yet. Funnily enough (to me at least) 2nd best is with the RAC @ £583, excess i think was £350.

as long as you declare what you have, then it shouldnt be a problem.
As it will affect the overal value of the car, its best to let the insurers know
