Cooper S insurance I ordered my cooper s a few months ago and have spent far too much money on it - sat nav, leather, harman kardon etc. How do these options affect my insurance? As they are not fitted as standard on the car, does it make my MCS 'modified' in insurance terms? It's going to cost me some serious cash as it is to insure it, approx £800 - £900 fully comp.

As Cooper_S said, some class them as modifications some don't, so shop around. As far as I'm concerned if it's a factory fit it's not a modification. Happy hunting.

Insurance information Just done some investigation work on this. In UK it seems like Norwich Union do not class things like Sat Nav as modifications if they were installed when manufactured. HSBC insurance count modifications as things added after the car is built. I'm with Norwich Union now so I'll probably try them. Thanks for the info!
