Well that's one way to put it Henry but I'd rather be a fine wine than a block of cheese. I'm sure Spike would feel the same!

Cooper S 2004, have to pay 780 euro, included theft and glass break. With no claims in the last 10 years. I'm 42, damn we have to pay allot here in Belgium. If i could get a reduction by installing a dashcam and tracking i would refuse it.

Are dash cams outlawed in Belgium nanotech? I remember reading up about that a while back in some EU countries. All my cars have Dash Cams and trackers fitted by me. My wife's car has front and rear cameras and the rest of the fleet will soon be upgraded. My dash cams are barley visible too which is a bonus and not big massive things stuck to the windows like you see on most cars and the quality is HD. My insurance company love me for having these features

We can use dash cames but it's not legally binding as it breaks the privacy law. There is still no clear answer on the subject. They use these recordings but it lives in a big grey zone. I'm very sceptical on the use of trackers. As i am driving very sportive and i don't know how they going to rate your driving for a reduction on your insurance.

What type of cams are using?

66 yo. Rural Sussex. Parked in private car park. 0 NCD. Protected NCD. Drive other cars TPFT. Total excess 150. 460.
Second car, so had to start again from scratch - hence 0 NCD. Have 9 years and 75% protected on other policy.
Through broker Adrian Flux, placed with underwriters Ageus who are OK with mods.
Not planning on any major mods but prepared to pay extra to be able, hassle free, with no extra charges, to swap off run-flats, Milltek, cold air intake. The underwriter says they are cool with 'mods up to 300 bhp'. Not where I want to go!! But interesting.

I passed my test in The Hague and got a Dutch licence when I was 18 and drove there for 5 years. Back then, it was received wisdom amongst the Dutch drivers that you always gave the dreaded white number plate with the red letters and a 'B' a very wide berth. Appalling drivers, completely erratic. I think, again back then, the Belgian driving test was "do you know where the steering wheel is?" - Yes? Good, you've passed.
Racial stereo-typing no doubt! No love lost. I'm sure the test is much more thorough these days but maybe crashing a lot is endemic.
Do they still have "Priotite a Droite" on some roads in Belgium? They did in Holland. Nightmare. Responsible for so many dings back then. For those who don't know what it is, I'll reverse it for UK RHD scenario. If a road is "Priorite a Gauche" as it would be in the UK, and it is usually a bigger road, dual carriageway-ish, any one joining from even a teeny road on your left (as you drive) can just pull on without looking....at all. No looking right to see if anything is coming. Caused a lot of accidents.
