Thanks for the tip but ive done all that already and they just say thats what the computer is telling us so thats it.
Im going to wait and see what my next quote is as I dont think I have to declare my indorsment after this year, which will reduce my quote considerably.
I don't wont to change companies as these were almost half the price of any other company I phoned and I phoned just about them all, some wanted £2000
Cheers Fontal

Well, so am I, so thats another chance of reducing my quote gone! Been with them for about 7 years, and just can't find anyone to match the renewal they send me (even Privilege.com is more expensive )

It means the underwriters will not offer quotations for risks in those areas without prior referral and acceptance. Basically because they're not keen to pick up business in those districts. They will look at the overall profile of the risk and make a decision at referral stage.

Always a good tactic to quote the Insurance Ombudsman - as if it gets to that stage the underwriters have to pay a fee!! Although i understand you have to have tried all the normal channels first.

Ps earlier in this thread someone mentioned that insurance guides arent produced on paper, not entirely correct, i work for a (motorcycle) broker and programme the guides onto our system and they always come in in paper form.

You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off !!
