Red face Mini Cooper Insurance

Hey All,

I'm new to this forum... looks gr8. I'm going to be 17 soon and I'm looking to buy a Mini Cooper. I've got some insurance quotes and the best at the moment is Egg insurance for £2400 with £700 excess (named driver on my dads policy)!! . Can anyone tell me what kind of deals they've got and with what companies.

Thats all for now.

Thanks in advance.

When I was 19, 1 year NCB, 0 Accidents, 3 points, modified cooper, Eagle Star quoted £912... that's 12 months and £0 excess. Naturally, I took it

Im 18, My insurance was £910 for my ONE, thats when it never had any mods. Thats with Minis own insurance, fully comp, under my name, 0 ncb and my b/f and dad as name drivers. They was the cheapest i could find.

They wanted 1200 for the cooper at the time, and 1600 for the s

I think having titties help tho

Im 28 and I only pay 143 dollars a month for full coverage, 250 deductible(same as excess??) on a 99 Pontiac Grand AM GT and the MCS. How does that compare to you people across the pond??

I'm 21 (in 3 days), car arrives in 4 weeks!

Getting insurance with Mini Cover... 1year no claims, chili pack, 21 years old, low risk area, car on driveway, in my own name, £750! I'm very happy with that. It is the same price I paid last year for my Preg 1.4i Vauxhall Corsa!

Good Luck.

I think a study needs to be carried out:

Whether insurance premiums are inversely proportionate to the size of one's baps.

I found that my insurance was cheaper on my mini cooper, than on my old micra. I'm paying £330 a year with £50 excess. This is with Eagle Star, and 4 years no claims, I am 25. I'm concerned now that I got it so cheap. Can't believe some of those figures.

Australia

Jeez UK insurance is expensive!

I am in Brisbane Australia and am 23. I pay AUS$945/year (£370 approx) with $350 (£140) excess.

The insurance is in my own name.

I'm 20 and the cheapest insurance I can get is £1,500 fully comp on a Mini Cooper. I think this is quite expensive. Anyone out there similar age to me who has beaten this. Is MINI insurance better ?
