Fully comprehensive insurance for me for an Subaru WRX Sti is $600AUD.

If you lived over here you have to re-morgage the home to afford the Insurance on the WRX STi

Ahh, yes I lived over there till I was 26 or so. My MGB GT cost me a small fortune to insure. Now I'm older and wiser etc, Insurance premiums no longer come into my figures for running cost. Which is good for me, but bad for the rest of you by the looks of those horrendous quotes. We are all also paying for September 11th 2001 of course. In no small way.

From direct line on the website the highest was about £910, the lowest was about £750 depending on extras (like protected no claims, voluntary excess etc). That was with just me to drive.

Not THAT bad.

I'd say that was pretty good - I'm 35 FUll NCD No ponts no accidents and the lowest quote I could get for Works Club Sport was £600 now considering it's considerably less powerful than 's' and you've got 10 years on me Having said that I only pay £850 for EVO which is considerably higher risk all round - can only assume modified vs standard is the reason

I have just tried Direct Line 'On Line' for an'S' quote:-
Myself & Her in Doors,
Both clean licences,
No accidents in 3 years,
Max no claims,
Garaged,
£451.50 with £200 excess
I am 60 & HID is 53. There are some advantages in being nearly past it!!!

Hope to do better.

GeoffP

Waiting patiently for my second 'S'.
