Just an FYI... if you go with eloan, which I think I will. Call and ask for a better rate, they will tell you they don't counter offer etc. I was told no. Then I got an e-mail back 5 mins later telling me my new interest rate is now over 2 points lower

BTW Capital One's peoplefirst.com gave me a rate that was laughable, so high I think they must have been smoking something and yes my credit is good

so what is the rate? What rate did Capitol One quote you? What rate did you get at eloan?

Well... its not great 5.19% BUT thats for a 72 month 3rd car loan for up to $41,000 . Captial One quoted me 9.99% !!!!!!! CrAzY !! and oh yeah... eloans first offer was 7.89% so I am pretty happy with 5.19 for a 72 month loan with two other car loans open.

So I would only be getting a single open car loan, I am thinking 60 months. Capitol One's website quotes me 4.25% as of yesterday, I haven't checked today. So that is not too bad I guess.

Yeah, that sounds pretty decent to me. I have heard that dealers HATE peoplefirst's blank check thing and sometimes even refuse them, but not sure it thats reliable info... I would ask your dealer.

I used the blank check thing from carfinance.com before they became capitol one on my last car purchase. They had no problem with it. I never actually used it though as the dealer was able to beat the rate. Different dealer now though. I suspect they will beat it too.

Thats good to hear they were going to accept the blank check... my dealer is complaining about e-loan yet they tell me they are sure they can't beat the rate. So I told them to bad then, becase you WILL take my eloan.

i just got a quote from e-loan for 3.99%! I didn't even have to haggle with them at all.

has anyone had any problem with their dealers accepting e-loan financing?

Just insist they take it or beat it. Most dealers hate eloan. Make sure eloan does a wire transfer or overnights the check and do the paper work a coupld days before taking delivery so you don't have a problem at the last minute when you are counting on picking up your car !!!! Eloan can be a pain to deal with but they gave me the best rate and covered my jcw and aero kit. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
