All models apart from the 'D' will have cabriolet versions, and I don't know what insurance group they will be, but it will no doubt be higher than the non soft top versions.

I've always found convertibles to be very expensive to insure, sometimes only specialist brokers would quote..............

I fully expect the groups to be considerably higher - a Cooper S Open will be maybe 17 - 18,
A good example comes from the 206,
a 1.6XSi is group 5 but the 1.6CC is group 12 - this is an extreme example but highlights the increased cost of insurance,

Cometh the Hour, Cometh the MINI

Blimey!! I guess most of the difference is down to security but the 206 has a tin roof not the rag top of the MINI. Could that mean an even bigger difference?

Could we see a group 20 MINI on the S JCW Open?
