Just sorted out my insurance for another year; 29, 6 yrs NCB, no points or convictions.... I was quoted £516 to renew with Bell Direct. Went to Adrian Flux and got quoted £480. Then I got a quote from AXA for £363 with a £225 excess, which I thought was too good to be true. It wasn't. Sorted!

Insured with AXA...... £1,064 and they recognise Chilli Pack and other extras and have assured me in the unfortunate event of anything happening they will replace to the spec of previous car. In otherwords if I damage one of my 17" wheels they will replace it with same. Excess not too bad... £225.

All in all very impressed with service and as a bonus they sponser the FA Cup!

I've got an awesome quote from Axa for my new Works S - £630 fully comp with protected NCB, £125 excess. Am very happy! It's cheaper than my friend pays for her standard S!

I have a question regarding insurance.

Is it better to have MINI insurance in case you have an accident then the repairs would be carried out by a MINI approved repair centre (maybe a BMW dealer) and you would get mini parts etc. or any insurance company who could use any repairer, would not use mini parts, would this effect the warrenty????

Getting my MCS in 1 day

Cheers

Steve

If some of you think paying a couple of hundred £ is bad you should try being me. Im 18 and only drive a MINI One but i still paid £1900 to insure it this year. I have no points and have never had an accident.

OMG Crouchy! Thats really bad,

I have just found that Admiral are the cheapest and gone with them £360 for my MCS , thats fully comp with protected no claims but limited mileage of 6000. Everyone else I tried for a quote was over £600

Just got insured with Sainsbury’s today for my MCS coming on March 1st. It cost me £885.45 with the chili and visibility packs. I got a quote of £762 on-line so I was a bit gutted to be charged over £123 for the extra options on the phone ....but at least that’s not £1900 for a Mini One!!

Anyone got bad or good experiences with Sainsbury? The guy on the phone said if I had an accident I’d be covered for the extra options I’m having fitted on the car, I hope this is true!

Just wondering how to get a quote from AXA on an MCS Works.

With them already and no longer able to get online quote from axamotor and when I phoned up they would not recognise a works S (or so I was told).

Is there another site, or did other people go via brokers etc?
