Ok you Canadians, I just got my quote on my launch Cooper:

Price $27,100 CAD
Owner 50+ good no-claims
Recreational driving only 15,000 km per-year
Insurance deductable $500
Cost: $956 per year

This is from RBC Insurance 1-800-769-2526 although all other companies should be able to quote now

Th "S" is also on the database, but I did not get a quote (but I know Shawn is out there ! )

Go for it guys !!!!!

I'm on it - I've ordered the same car - I'll call CAA tomorrow and follow up.

Here's what I've got from CAA - Same specs as Nick above, but I'm 36, good record, 1 claim in last 6 yrs.

CAA - $2320 / yr
RBC - $1556 / yr

There are a few wrinkles affecting this quote (like I've got a second car on top of the numbers quoted above) but it is an "apples to apples" comparison.

I'm going with RBC -- Thank you Nick!
