I had planned on using ELoan as well...the application and paperwork process couldn't have been easier. However, to my surprise when I went to pick up the car with the ELoan contract in hand the dealer stated they would not accept it (after on the phone telling me they did accept 3rd party financing). The dealer claimed they had payment issues with ELoan in the past but I doubt it...I'm sure they just want all financing going through them.

I was quite upset over this and used the low rate quoted by ELoan as the point of reference to try financing through them. I made for an ugly experience with the dealer unfortunately having to bicker over it, but I secured a comparable rate through BMW/MINI financial so it worked out OK. Having the ELoan contract in hand no question worked in my favor...without having it as a leverage tool I'm sure the rate would have been considerably more.

I'd suggest calling the dealer and confirming specifically they'll accept payment from ELoan. If they say OK I see no reason why not to go with them.
