Thumbs up Autocar S and Works S insurance groups

Flicking through this weeks autocar, in the back pages where they give all the new car details, (cos i'm that sad i read them) I noticed that the insurance group quoted for the Works S was a group lower than the standard MCS. Is this just a mistake on Autocar's part or is it true that we all benefit from lower insurance on making our cars faster?

I don't think that there is a category 21. I've seen MCS 15d and works 19 elsewhere. Category 19 seems ridiculously high.

It is a group 19, but that doesn't mean too much. My insurance only went up £50 for the year when i got my Works, around 10%

MCS is 15 and Works is indeed 19 - my premium increased by approx 25% post conversion.

Well worth it though !
