I managed to get £394 for MCS with maximum noc-claims discount (age 45) with wife as 2nd driver (age 31) and my wife had a recent 3 points for speeding in her Mini Cooper...

Give them a go and let us know how you get on....oh and I think thy don't do the Works if you are thinking of this as an option (they said it was not on their list).

Hope this helps...

Have you tried MINI's own insurance, it can be very competitive in many cases.

Adrian Flux gave some good quotes on a well modified classic , 1400cc, 14" Wheels, BIg Bore , springs, brakes , deseamed etc etc. They offered good rates on a Mini Cooper with JC Upgrade too.

Hi Stevie,

Can you confirm, that price was £394!!

I have just got my other half to rinf them, she has 7 yrs no claims bonus, she is 27, I would be the second driver, I am 33 and I had 3 yrs no claims, and no points. Are quote was £531 pa, with a £120 excesss , that was on a brand new mcs worth £18.995

What did you tell them to get to 390 squid!!!!

Axa Insurance was £120 cheaper than any other insurer at £473 for two 29 year old drivers with full protected no claims. Mini insurance was over £700!! This was for a new cooper s.

Try elephant.co.uk - I got a quote of £700 (10 month bonus accelerator) for an '04 MCS. I'm 26 with 2yrs NCD living in Cardiff (city centre)

...counting down the days to delivery of my blk/blk MCS

personally i would check some the threads re insurance on here first. u only pay for what u get. quite a few insurers (cant recall all of them) dont pay out any more than on a standard MINI. so if u chilli then u arent covered. check the small print. i know BMW/MINI insurance is more expensive, but it inspires confidence... thats the way i went.
