Offline | I found (when window shopping) direct line to be very competitive, and their car purchase plan is a good option. Also Marks and Spencer seem to be pretty good. You could also ask your dealer what they can do for you? |

Offline | Blusox I agree with Paul about Direct Line and I actually used their car finance plan to buy our car. 8.2% APR and a lot less than the 14.5% I was quoted for the MINI PCP which is going to save me around £1000 over the three year period. The other advantage of the Directline deal over the PCP is that I own the car and there is no mileage restrictions. I filled in the application form online at www.directline.com but it then took three weeks to get all the paperwork sorted once I had been approved, so dont leave it to the last minute to sort the paperwork out! Telephone staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. Directline Website |

Offline | Northern Rock currently charge 8.1% APR. However, mention this to the dealer and they will probably match/better it. Currently driving: Silver Volkswagen Lupo GTi, 6 speed, 125bhp |

Offline | Re: Car Finance If you're a home owner then the best option is to remortgage for a larger amount with Intelligent Finance or Woolwich Open Plan etc. Then you get an effective loan rate the same as the mortgage rate (currently under 5%) and effectively earn interest at this rate on your current account balance (TAX FREE). I paid for my Mini on the day I picked it up by Switch! Ian |

Offline | Mini Money Its always worth seeing what your dealer can offer. I am a car salesman and the finance companies are doing some really good deals at the momemt. Off the top of my head I think you should be able to get a flat rate of around 4% which is an apr of about 8-9%. You will struggle to get these rates on a PCP deal, but you still should be able yo get 10-11% apr. ![]() If she's not smoking she broken! |
