Offline | Discount and Insurance Hi everyone! Just registered, and pleased to be here! Just started shopping for a used MC, and was wondering if some of you here may be able to help... What are the chances of being able to get discount or freebies from Mini? and...with regards to insurance, I've rang a couple of companies and there quotes were huge! I expected it to go up but not by hundreds! Which companies to any of you here recommend? Thanks for helping ![]() |

| 01 | i would recomend egg, tesco, or mini for insurance. You have to be careful with some of them depending on if you have a chili pack cooper, or not, as sometimes they dont cover it. Regarding freebees, sometimes you'l be really lucky, othertimes not so. It depends on what you go for - a brand new cooper s convertible that they are offering with a delivery date of less than a month will give you nothing free, you will pay for numberplates, petrol, absolutly everything. I bought a second hand cooper, and got whole years tax, about £300 nocked off the price, free stripes, free lifeshine, free good mats, full tank of petrol, and a bottle of champagne. you need to pick the time of the month and year that you will be buying, because they do have targets to reach, i bought mine at the end of the financial year, so that must be why i got a good deal. i also had a very pushy boyfriend that seemed to be scaring them, and they really wanted to go home, they knew that we had seen other minis that day and that it would be a close call, so we were negotiating after closing time. To be completely honest, i was ready to sign as soon as i saw it, I didnt care, but im so happy at the deal, because it can be hard. |

Offline | Hi There. I have just purchased a mini cooper s Jcw. Im insured with Sainsburys their quote was £200 less what I was paying for an Astra SRI. I bought mine 26-07-05 and I goT a good deal. Do your homework on the car that you want and tell the salesperson the specs, colour, interior etc. Sales people hate it when you go in knowing what you want Thats what I did and the best bargin I got was my mini!!!!!!!! Good Luck with the purchase. Vici ![]() 1 child, 2 houses, 3 cats... 210bhp JCW. |
