| Dealer experience & Insurance (UK) Ordered my S on Sunday after an entertaining test drive (dealer gave me the keys & asked me to bring it back in one piece!)and I have a couple of queries for the other UK based S owners on here... Insurance: Talking to the Mini Cover people, they offer no discount if you fit Tracker. Seems daft to me, but that's the insurance industry for you. Anyone found a tracker friendly insurance co and what kind of discount did they give you? Delear relationships: ok, so the salesman is new to the dealership, but heck, I've just ordered a £17k motor, I'm a little underwhelmed by having to call them to confirm they'd processed the order when they were supposed to be calling me. I get the feeling they don't want to talk to me again until the 17th December... Anyone else in a similar position? (Dealer is Wellsway in Bath btw). |

Offline | Try Tesco online insurance, when I had a 330 convertible, I got about £120 discount for traker retrieve(Basic traker) They quoted me+wife £406 for the cooper S without tracker, If your dealer is annoying you, there are some more remote dealers who still have speccable slots for sept/oct. A friend of mine was offered (and took) a 1st August slot in Scotland (it was a cancelled order..apparantly!) DocT Cooper S DS/B (of course), Chilli, Auto Air, Full Leather, Roof, etc etc + Chrome-Design Pack / whelan shift machine / Origin B2 / TOYO NON-RUNFLATS :-))) Fastest Housecalls in the NHS! |

| The dealers not annoying me as such, I just expected a little more enthusiasm for the sale. December delivery is good for me for a number of reasons I won't go into, so I'm not looking to change at the moment. I suspect the fact that I've been lurking here for a while means I'm better informed than the salesman which doesn't help matters! Thanks for the welcome, this place is substantially more friendly than some boards I've dabbled in! |

Offline | Welcome Starnberg, have you tried AXA ? the reason I ask is Tesco and themselves were the only companies that didn't charge a loading for my S Spokes and the Chili pack, be aware of this as my old company charged a 10% loading for each!!!! I've got a Cooper but I would imagine the same crap will apply ![]() MINIless since 2nd of June @12:35pm 2003 |

Offline | I got a quote £360 for one from my dealer and then it's £99 per year after that, but that's only the basic one not GPS. A GPS one is £1200 notes for a lifetime subscription. It'll take a long time to recover that on insurance savings ![]() MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime ![]() ![]() Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter |
