Offline | financed or leased? i notice many members on this forum are on their second mini after three years. i'm wondering if those people, and all the mini owners here leased or financed their car? i'm going to be getting a mcs ds/w soon, and i've been debating whether to finance or lease. i've read lots of articles on general leasing and financing pros and cons, but i'm kinda looking for mini specific reasons. opinions anyone? |

Offline | Definitely buy in the U.S. Residuals are insanely high and it would be a shame to miss out on this by leasing. ***BMW-AG Rocks!!!*** Portsmouth FC Can Thank Sunderland...What a Farce!!! |

Offline | hello, i suggest you go the mini usa web site and use the calculator to compute this. just put in the *same* amount of money, years to own and lease, down payment, and interest rate. you can get the % of difference. i found using the mini computer it was to be 30% cheaper per month to lease. that said, i have never leased and always purchased. i am luckey i guess due to my job and circumstances to buy . In my opinon, for a personal car(vs. business), leasing one is simply renting and getting nothing in return for all the money spent. for a small amount more you actually get something for your money. If you can do it, buy to own and have something to show for it after 3~5 years. If you own it, even partially paid, you can sell it for what you owe or get some equity out of it. best wishes on your new car, john s. |
