Hi All;
On a hot day with the air con running, what is the normal idling rpm for the
MCSa?
In my country, the normal rpm is set at abt 750-800rpm. With the air con running and the car idling for a period of about between 1min to 3mins ( traffic jams or traffic lights ), the rpm will jump to 1000-1100rpm; this is esp prominent with the air con, radio and lights on;
According to the service advisor at MINI, this is a high load ( high current ) condition;
Problem is when the car is at 1000-1100 rpm and the the gear set at D; the whole car vibrate; it is bearable at P or N position;
Is this problem unique to cars in my region ( country )?
To experience this rough idle, place the transmission in D at idle and wait for abt 1-3 mins; when the high load condition kicks in, there is resonance and the whole car vibrates;
All suggestion or solutions welcome;
Thanks in Advance
