CVT prices ( repair ).

Hey everyone.
I am an Engineering Mechanics student. For an academic work i nead some information.

-The price of cooper CVT?
-Costs of its repairing?
-Price of some components ?(like belt)

Can give me any of this information ?

Why not just call your local dealer? Prices are going to vary from different regions.

I've seen the price of $7,000 quoted a few times when people have had to re4place the whole transmission.

The CVT retails for 4250USD. There are no dealer replacable components as of March 2006 in the US that I could find. There are some non-Mini transmission shops with ideas about rebuilding them, but none are ready yet. I heard things like later this year.

I purchased a CVT reman from a dealer with a discount for $3380. It took about 20 hours to swap out with no special tools and another $200 in misc parts - fluid, seals, fasteners.

My CVT was just replaced. Quoted $6500 with 13 hours of labor. Most other CVT owners seem to be being quoted around the same price.
