 engine produces strange knocking G"Morning!!! After installing new cam (schrick) and pulley my engine produces strange knocking (clattering). It sounds like relay engaging/disengaging. The sound is quite strong and noticable in 3 to 6 gears under load from 3000 rpm and up. But if i understand right this is not detonation (going to check the spark-plugs tomorrow). it appears for a second or so then disappear?! and again 500 rpm higher. Not noticable under load at low rpm! Could we made something wrong installing the cam? we did not modify spark-plug tubes though the cam touches it noticable Or could it be bypass valve because of excessive pressure??
