Gutter Trim Mouldings.

Sent a letter to MINI UK last week querying the length of time it was taking to deliver replacement gutter trim for my MINI ONE.Got a phone call from a the regional manager this afternoon who told me that the revised designed trim would not be delivered until late August/early September.

Thats interesting, the trims on the last Cooper's I saw at Brisbane BMW were lovely fully moulded plastic gutters. VERY firmly attached too. Completely different to the very first Cooper I saw at their launch here in March '02. Maybe this is the third iteration.

RAYASP.

When the BMW clowns where testing the MINI over its incredibly long development stages didn't any of them notice the poxy trim design at the time or were they all too busy reading the British Leyland 1970's Qualitynot Control Manual which they seemed to have followed to the letter! Oh well if the fix is due in Aug/September 2002 it's only taken about 5 years for the techi's to figure out and lets face it guys with all the other many crap design failings to sort its no wonder your gutter trim wasn't top of the dog with fleas pile

Totally depressed to be honest with ya....I am selling a 60K Miles 100% reliable RAV4 and getting a Cooper S in September that I know is going to be a tooth ache all its life. But it's so funky and such a great driver and I live in eternal hope

I've been there, Mine's due in August amongst much angst. My Subaru Forester is 2 years old, completely fault free.

You never know we might be pleasantly suprised.

R1, is a very good example of having been on both sides of the fence. You will not find a more ardent supporter of the MINI; which annoys a few members around here I might add.
