Buzz just before Ignition, on key setting two

Started her up today and something weird happened. ( MCS 52)

Set key to 1 and petrol gauge registered and lights come on as normal.
Set ket to 2 and buzzing noise was heard. Petrol gauge dropped as though ignition was switched off.
Car started ok though?
Tried a few more times and got the same buzz. Then gave it another go and it didn't occur again. ??

Don't tell me, this is probably a unique problem with my car. Of course it's going to start going wrong I decided not to pay £500 quid for the warranty extension!

Just to let other people feel ok though. I get the slight pull to the left and an early morning clunch from the steering column.

If it does it again, check to see if the speedo needle vibrates, this is the source of a buzz on my car when the key is turned to II. The fuel gauge doesn't drop though

The needle rattles on mine, every 1 or 2 times out of 5 that it's started, reading posts on here it's apparently normal.
