England Locking door and open door symbol

Is there an option whereby you can program the car to beep when it is locked? and when the doors are open on mine, the open door sign isnt on anyone know why it could be? it works with my boot but not with the doors is it normal? thanks

I don't think there is such a symbol. The boot has one on the dash as it is not possible to see if it is closed properly when seated, whereas one should be able to tell if the doors are locked by checking if the knobs on the doors are lowered or not.

I could be wrong though

i havent noticed this yet, ill check fer sure!! it would seem correct to have it only be for the bonnet........

It will only beep if you have the factory (or other) alarm installed. No beep without an alarm though.

Mine only has a light to tell me when the boot or bonnet is open - not the doors.

This is an area that could certainly be improved with the mini. As others have stated, there's only a dash warning light for the boot and bonnet....(trunk and hood of course for the stars n stripes lads). All the doors get is the courtesy light staying on which is noticeable enough when it's dark but of course in the day time, very easy to miss!! Same with the auto lock feature. After a while it more or less becomes transparent to you because the brain treats the repetition as unimportant. So for it not to happen when a door is not shut properly is again, I would of thought very easy to miss!......
