Lost Keys!

Is there a way i can use a set of keys and locks from a salvage yards BMW Mini and fit them to my BMW Mini?

I have lost mine and it's far to expensive to get a fresh set made up from BMW!

Would i have to replace the Alarm control unit in the car and replace it with the one out of a donor car?

Hope some body can assist me,

Paul.

Its beset with problems really, the transponder from the current car would have to be re programmed, the lock barrel on steering lock / ignition , drivers door and glovebox lid would need changing so a dealer would most likely have to be involved in at least part of the work which is not going to be cheap, a replacement set of new keys should be around £120 all in, and no pulling the car apart, it would probably cost more to change all the locks and re program tha car at the end of the day.
