Sat Nav Screen gone white?

Hi guys,

I have no idea how to fix this so any help would be great. I came back to my card the other day and the sat nav screen, when i opened the door, came on but rather than showing the mini logo it just went white. As i drove it eventually came back on as if nothing had happened. Then off it went again, back to white, but everything is still going on in the background, if i have guidance on i can still hear the woman talking.

It would appear its a loose connection but i can't make it come on and off on demand by pushing or knocking. Yesterday the car was parked and the nav was working. Today i went out, having not moved the car and its back to white?

I wanted to take off the front so i could look behind and push any loose cables back in but i cannot find how to remove the front panel.

I have seen mention of how to force it to reboot by disconnecting the power and doing a battery reset, but i wouldnt know where to start to try this either - but i dont think it will fix it since it doesnt seem to have crashed.

If anyone has any idea on how i can fix this please let me know, i would love to do it myself rather than take it to a dealer as i have a feeling its a simple 'push in cable' job, i just cant get behind the screen to do this.
