I have noticed recently that my Cooper S is hesitantly starting about 1 in 5 times. Its hard to expain but usually i turn the key and get a 'duh duh start'....now sometimes i get a 'duh duh duh duh start'....can anyone offer some advice.....
In my Cooper it's normally after the engine has got hot and then I try to restart it fairly soon after I've switched it off. In my S it seems to be temperature related.
I have had this problem recently too; after driving around all day or stalling in traffic (once!) the car has hesitated to start, but not when it's cold!
Same here. Only in the heat. I had it happen last week, it was turning over but not start. So I let go of the key and it paused for a second or two and THEN started. Wierdest thing.
Same here (well in my old 2004 build One at least). I haven't noticed it so far on my 2006 build Cooper. The car always seemed to start best when cold.
I had this serveral times, Have it checked and upon collection they told me they have change sensors for air intake and radiator. 6 months have pass with just one kick start.
