Buzz/Static coming from steering wheel/door...

Hey everyone!

My 06 MCS is about 2 weeks old now and for the past week and a half I've noticed a sort of buzzing or static-y sound coming from the steering wheel or the driver's door.

If it's the driver's door, I think it might be the small speaker by the inside door handle. My music hasn't been extremely loud - as in - not loud enough to blow the speakers or cause a buzzing... I tried turning down the bass and that didn't help either.

I'm not sure if it's from the steering wheel but it's in that sort of area between the steering wheel and the door (that's as far as I've been able to track it down!). The sound changes depending on RPMs and speed. However, it doesn't really have a pattern, but it's always there.

This is sooooo very annoying. Does anyone else have a similar problem and know what I can do?

PS: my speakers are completely stock. Nothing has been changed and I do *not* have the H/K upgrade. I did do a search before posting this thread and I found problems related to people with H/K, of which I do not have.

Could it be the wing mirror???

I traced a buzz which also appeared to be from that area to the round plastic cover on the outside seat lever (the one for rear entry). I removed it and reinstalled, 'been fine since. It pops out, line up the tabs to reinstall.
