water sound coming from my dash

ive just noticed the other day when i get in my mini and put my key in the ignition and turn it i can hear a water sound coming from the dash like water is swishing around?

ive checked the dash and i cant see any water anywhere?

i had this on my old car, its an airlock in the cooling system, you need to get the coolant bled out and put it back in again to solve it. if it still happens just repeat this until it stops! if u ignore it you might end up overheating the car and needing a new radiator.

i think you ticked the wrong box on the order form. you meant to order 'chilli' pack, but you ordered the 'Chill-out' package. did you get the whale mating calls as well? (standard with the 'Khama' models

hi. i had a pinhole in the heater pipe ( not usual for mini, apparently) had this fixed, along with the thermostat housing and thermostat itself being replaced. After a couple of days , began to hear the water running sound, so rang my man who can, he said i needed to run the heater at full with the fan full on, and this should fix the problem.Any how, i have done this and now all seems fine at the mo, just thought i would pass it on for any other poor mini owner as paranoid as me. Anyone in the norwich (uk) area needing a reliable, fully qualified mini and beemer greasemonkey, i can thouroughly recommend Malcolm of Curtis Autos. Number should be in the local phone book. Cheers
